WSJ article addresses elder abuse increase during COVID pandemic

In a recent article, the Wall Street Journal investigated the increase in elder abuse which has occurred during the last two years.  Older Americans have been isolated because of COVID rules and because family have been conscientiously avoiding seeing their older family in order to avoid increasing infection risks to those family members.  The abuse has occurred through care givers as well as family members who reside with older family.  The article reminds us that we must have a system to keep tabs on our older family, even if we are unable to physically be present to evaluate living circumstances.
